In order to recognize the defence personnel for displaying conspicuous gallantry, indomitable courage and extreme devotion to duty, the President presented Kirti Chakra awards and 11 Shaurya Chakra awards to armed forces personnel at a Defence Investiture Ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. 11 of these awards were conferred posthumously for gallantry.…
